The Australian reserve bank has admitted that small businesses in the country are being starved of funding due to high interest rates.
According to website news.com.au a senate inquiry into the issue in Sydney also heard that there was unlikely to be any respite for small firms in the immediate future.
It comes as the country battles to keep inflation under control.
However the inquiry also heard that as the economy continues to improve, competition among lenders was eventually likely to increase the amount of funding available to small businesses.
